How it works

โžค We organize ourselves-wastepickers, itinerant buyers and small junk dealers-in various parts of Kerala.
โžค Over thousands persons are part of this registered group. For us, organizing means that we all begin to understand our value in the city, identify our key challenges and work towards safer, greener work as a group instead of as individuals.
โžค We educate other waste recyclers about the opportunities in clean recycling and green jobs.

Objective

SVERDAC’s primary objective is to reinforce and improve the existing recycling system, providing efficient and sustainable solutions tailored for city administrations and waste recycling companies. Our goal is to streamline recycling processes, enhance waste management efficiency, and support a cleaner, greener environmentโ€”all without any profit motive. We aim to foster collaboration among municipalities, private organizations, and community stakeholders to achieve long-term waste reduction and recycling targets. By focusing on education, awareness, and innovative solutions, SVERDAC is committed to creating a more sustainable urban ecosystem that benefits society and the planet.
